Cocreating GPI: Global Consultation

July – December, 2021

When the GPI Expert Working Group published its Progress Report it began a six-month Global Consultation in which hundreds of people and organisations from all sectors and regions participated, to help ensure our deliberations were as representative as possible and grounded in reality.
We had two equally important objectives:

We chose a mixed methodology involving focus group discussions, an online survey and key informant interviews with high-level decision-makers in order to achieve depth and breadth with the full range of key stakeholders.

  • Five regions were consulted
  • The following types of organisations engaged in the consultation: Think Tanks, International Non-government Organisations (INGOs), civil society organisations (CSOs), governments, foundations, academia, multilaterals, development banks, private sector, among others.
  • Seventeen roundtables were organised, with more than 120 participants in total
  • Two of the roundtables had thematic approaches: social protection and climate
  • 73 people engaged in the consultation individually via SurveyMonkey
  • 50 outreach meetings were conducted by the GPI consultation team.

The EWG-GPI concludes its work, launching a Recommendations Report that presents what was heard during the Global Consultation as well as their own deliberations.

Launch of the findings are going to be held in June - Subscribe to our updates to know more!
