Nework Coordinator

We are looking for an experienced bright mind with a passion for global public investment. The Network Coordinator (NC) will lead GPIN efforts in its expansion.

  • Fully remote (need a computer and stable internet connection).
  • Full time role (40 hours, 5 days a week), although part time (3 days a week) can be considered for the right candidate.
  • One year consultancy contract (with possibility of renewal, depending on funding)
  • Start date as soon as possible
  • Annual payment of 60,000 USD

Requisites

  • Five or more years of experience in an upper-management/strategic coordination role
  • Exceptional skills in leadership, time management, facilitation, fundraising, and organization.
  • Experience in managing different stakeholders.
  • Excellent knowledge of standard computer tools and adaptability to new ones.
  • Excellent knowledge of written and spoken English

Responsibilities

NETWORK CONSOLIDATION

  • Manage GPIN Steering Committee monthly meetings.
  • Set up quarterly meetings of sub-groups:
  • Thematic (e.g. climate, health; social protection, digital) o Regional (Latin America, Asia, Africa, US and Europe?)
  • Potentially of sub-groups focused more on specific forms of advocacy such as human rights
  • Manage and coordinate membership growth (goal of doubling in the first year).

FUNDING AND FUNDRAISING

  • Work as facilitator within the different existing GPIN grants (including leveraging other members outside those coalitions).
  • Raise additional finance to secure the running of the network going forward (GPIN will require at least USD200k per annum).
  • Raise finance for a major global conference with stakeholders from governments, foundations, civil society, think tanks/academia to take place in Year 2.
  • Support members to secure 1m for member projects and activities.

OUTREACH AND ADVOCACY

  • Engage members to find out what they do, what processes they are involved in, and how they will help GPIN
  • GPIN representation/engagement in relevant spaces and coordinate outreach and engagement in key spaces
  • Socialization of GPI to various constituencies, such as climate activists, tax justice advocates (includes GPIN representative)

OPERATIONS AND SYSTEMS

  • Host and organise members meetings
  • Manage website
  • Produce relevant reports and materials, collate and repost GPI publications
  • Monthly update newsletter to members and supporters

STRATEGY

  • Ensure and support the building of a broad, directional, strategy for network members and supporters to refer to.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all network-related issues.
